These are fabulous...can anyone tell me if photoshopping is hard? I'm about to try it but I want to know if it's possible for a guy 12 years old before i spend 2 hours on it.

You will have to dedicate a considerable amount of time into photoshop to get the finer things out of it, and as i have observed even the easier things are hard for beginners (I have taught a lot of them. >_>). Then theres the fact that it's an expensive toy, something I don't see a 12 year old affording.(thats if you dont turn to the dark side of the internet.:P)

It's time-consuming to get something nice. not hard, just takes a while. (I'm talking about the basic editing stuff).Patience is needed, a lot.

Buying a tutorial book, or finding a good one online is very much worth it (or taking a cass, but I didn't have the opportunity at 12 to take 'classes'). Photoshop is only as hard as you make it :P (I keep it simple... don't need more stuff to remember)

I will admit, it does take both full knowledge of photoshop and a sense of design in order to make beautiful graphics. Things like tags are easy, but full-body vector works or wallpapers may take a longer time due to techniques used or the sheer size of the canvas.
A guy I know on another website does Wall Scrolls using photoshop and vector work. The size of some of this works is Mindblowing!

My dad already has photoshop, but he's away for a while so he can't show me anything...This is the best I can do so far.

Bunch of random stuff posted in various parts of the forum for fun, collected in one place:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10030669
I typically use Paintshop Pro myself, seems to be easier to navigate around and can get more or less same end result as with Photoshop (free trial of it is available from corel.com probably these days) Mostly it doesn't take me very long but I don't spend ages making sure everything is perfect (it's just for fun on here hehe)
Biggest tip I can give to novices: use layers! Use them a lot! Layers are your friend You can composite a picture with many parts to it that way and work on one part at a time, without screwing up the whole thing (and you can undo/unpaint parts of layers if you mess up)

hmmmm, how to explain... there is so much you can do. You might get over welmed at the start, but after a couple hours or playing around, you will get the basics. Then more advanced stuff comes in handy.
The Tutorial made here helps alot if you want to start with something simple. Good luck
